A statue of Mahatma Gandhi was unveiled in Athens in honor of the Indian activist, by the Ministers of External Affairs of Greece and India Mr. N. Dendias and Dr. S. Jaishankar during a special event which was held on June 26, 2021.<\/p>\n
During the unveiling ceremony near the Indian Embassy in the city, the two Ministers expressed the belief that the new statue will act as a strong symbol of friendship and shared values between Greece and India.<\/p>\n
